On Friday night, November 30th, Music City Mystique will take the stage at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN to perform live with country music star Keith Urban! Members from the Music City Mystique marching drumline, staff, and a member of Keith Urban’s band will strap on the marching drums to for a percussion feature at the end of one of the country superstar’s songs.
Prior to the beginning of this latest Keith Urban tour, producers decided to feature a marching drumline as part of the show. The producers turned to Carl Eppler , MCM Staff Member, to help put together this section of the show. Carl organized a studio recording session with members of MCM to record the marching piece that is used during the concert. Additionally, a video shoot was organized to film the drumline marching and playing the piece that is used for video segments during the show.
At each stop on Keith Urban’s tour, a local drumline is selected to perform live on stage during the concert. Several college, DCI, and WGI drumlines have had an opportunity to participate in this exciting event. Now that the tour is coming back to Nashville, MCM will finally get an opportunity to perform live with Keith. The staff and members of MCM are grateful for the opportunity to work with the producers of this event and are looking forward to an exciting performance on stage with Keith.
